My love of photography started at a very young age. I always have had a camera in hand. Thirty-something years later, I still have one.

No longer working with film, but using digital cameras now, I adore using natural light and nature  to capture unique shots of families and friends.

Living in Italy and various parts of the US have given me experiences and an understanding of perspective, and and eye for the unique.

If you reside in the NJ/NY/PA areas and are interested in booking a photo session, contact me at  tvl297@gmail.com

Photo Shoot Session Info:

What I don’t do > poses… I’m all for candid and spontaneous, that’s life. I will, for a few shots, ask you to walk or sit somewhere in particular, so yes, you will have a few “semi- posed” shots. I also don’t do weddings, Confirmations or Sweet 16 parties.

Where? > you can pick a favorite location for your shoot. I’m a natural light photographer – so outdoors is my best “arena.” Nature has a great way of making photos look amazing! I encourage clients to select areas that give them a sense of comfort. We have a number of beautiful parks, beaches and towns to pick from! If you’re stuck, we can brainstorm! If you do have an indoor setting in mind, please let me know as I do not use artificial lighting equipment.

What to wear? > Depending on where you would like your photo shoot to take place, clothing can vary. Always pick colors that flatter your skin tone and give a sense of your  own unique style. You may also want to consider clothes that give contrast to your backdrop. Families may want to dress in coordinating colors that work together against your backdrop. Let’s stay away from too much “matchy” stuff for parents and kids – I like “coordinating.”  Younger kids always look great in fun colors too! (sorry, no neon…)

What about props? > As far as clothing props for kids, they’re great! (hats, scarves, beads, etc.) Favorite bears, toys or blankets are also always special. They’re not necessary, but can certainly be brought to the session. If you’re looking for a certain prop, please ask, I just might have it!

How long will my session last? > depending on what you are looking for , sessions go from 1-2 hrs. Details will be discussed when setting an appointment for your session.

What will I receive once we’re done? > A complete, edited photo session via my site: animafoto.smugmug.com Your private album will consist of natural light photos as well as black and white and sepia shots. Please note I do not do any print work. All prints can be made via the digital website of your choice or through SmugMug.

When?> I host sessions year -round. You may need to bundle (layers!!!) a bit for some winter shots, but they’re well worth it! Spring and Fall are my busiest seasons, so it’s best to schedule 3-5 weeks ahead of time. If weather is not working on our scheduled day, we’ll reschedule.

Money stuff > Upon booking a session, a deposit of $50 is due. The remainder is due on the day of your session. If you need to cancel, a 72 hr notice is needed in order to refund your deposit.
